PEARL L. COLGROVE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Pearl Louise Van Winkle Colgrove, 81, of Idaho Falls, died February 9, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of injuries received in an automobile accident.
She was born July 19, 1920, at Minatare, Nebraska, to Charlie Loucie Van Winkle and Grace Cox Van Winkle. She grew up and attended schools in Nebraska.
She married George William Colgrove December 20, 1939, at Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple in July, 1955. They made their home in Scottsbluff until 1990, when they moved to Idaho Falls. She has been a homemaker, wife, and mother.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the Presidencies of Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women. She and her husband faithfully served “Meals On Wheels” for 10 years. She enjoyed family history work, crocheting, and visiting with friends.
Surviving are:Husband: George Colgrove, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Larry [Katy] Colgrove, Round Rock, TXSon: William [Annette] Colgrove, Fort Wayne, INSon: Jim [Vaunda] Colgrove, Shelley, IDSon: Richard [Dena] Colgrove, Casper, WYDaughter: Marge Holliday, Gering, NB 28 Grandchildren, 35 Great GrandchildrenShe was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Roger Gene Colgrove, and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon Friday, February 15, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS 9th Ward, 395 - 2nd Street, with Bishop Larry Campbell officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at the church.
