Peachi Melgaard

Edna “ Peachi” Melgaard, 67, of Idaho Falls passed away April 15, 2013, at her home surrounded for several days by friends and family. She was born May 13, 1945 to William Edward Fearheller II and Edna May Case Fearheller in Mill City, Oregon . She moved from Oregon and attended O. E. Bell Jr. High and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. Peachi married Judd Leon Melgaard on November 24, 1965 in Idaho Falls. He passed away March 13, 2010. She was a homemaker and a mother and worked at Fawn Cleaners. She also drove a motor route for the Post Register to Challis and Salmon and developed her own freight business for the same area, which later became the family business. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Peachi enjoyed reading and driving and she especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren . She enjoyed playing pinochle with family and friends. Peachi is survived by her children, Daughter, Amelia Telena (Joseph) Muffler of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Judd Leon (Janette) Melgaard II of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Sara Alanna (Rob Hannan) Farnes of Idaho Falls, ID Son, Justin Lee (Sharon Lopez) Melgaard of Ammon, ID; Brother, William Edward (Narelle) Fearheller III of Thornton, CO; 18 grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and nephew, Ian Todd. The family wants to express their appreciation for the care provided by Amy of One Source Hospice. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., with her son, Judd Melgaard II officiating. The family will visit with friends 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 19 and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
