PAULINE MASON
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Marie Pauline Peterson Mason, 82, of Idaho Falls, died July 19, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 16, 1920 at Provo, Utah to Paul C. Peterson and Marie Anderson Peterson. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Granite High School in Salt lake City. She worked as a secretary after training at LDS Business College.
She married Fred Phillip Mason on May 1, 1942 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker and later worked for the Idaho Falls School District. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a teacher in every auxiliary as well as a Cub Scout den mother and ward librarian. She was a talented artist, writer and seamstress and also enjoyed gardening, music, and family activities. Polly especially loved being with and serving her family and many wonderful friends; her greatest joy came through selfless acts of service.

Peterson 25 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Nielsen
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS 22nd Ward, 1235 Juniper, with Bishop Wayne Christensen officiating. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church.
