Paulette (Clarke) Chadwick, 69, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, went to her heavenly home on August 26, 2023. She was surrounded by people who adored and cherished her.
Paulette was born to Jim “Cleo” and Lola Chadwick on May 5, 1954, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was by far her dad’s favorite child. He doted on her and tried to give her the world. She was a beautiful baby, winning many cutest baby awards. She grew to become a beautiful daughter, mom, sister, and friend to many (many doesn’t begin to describe the amount of people she touched and that loved her).
She had a life full of challenges, including fighting and winning the battle with breast cancer in 2020, and kicking MS in the butt and going into remission. Because of these challenges, she became a fighter, fighting for her life until the end. She was a warrior!
Her children were her life. She adored them. She made lots of quilts and other crafts for her kids and grandkids. Paulette loved her pets. She had many dogs during her life. They were her family. During one short time, she also welcomed a baby squirrel into her home, naming him “Rocky”! She had the softest heart for any animal.
She loved to cook. Her cookies are world famous (okay, maybe just family famous). Her rolls would melt in your mouth. She loved a place named Chadwick Park. We camped, we ate, we talked, and grew as a family at that place. We all felt a little piece of heaven when we were there together. She had a laugh that would light up the world, and a sense of humor to match. She worked many jobs in her life, but her favorite was working at Home Depot. She loved the people.
She loved and cherished her children. She woke up long enough during her sleep to give her youngest daughter (Haley) a kiss goodbye.
Paulette was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Paulette is survived by her son, Nathan (Lauri) Clarke of Caldwell, ID; daughter, Stacie (Jose) Rivera of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Haley (Ryan) Cushman of Idaho Falls, ID; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Her legacy will live on. She is also survived by her brother, James (Connie) Chadwick of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Betty (Norm) Shipps of Idaho Falls, ID; Cleone (Steve) Winder of Rigby, ID; sister, Connie Chadwick Hadley of Idaho Falls, ID; and tons and tons of nieces, nephews, and extended family that love and cherish memories with Paulette.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
A celebration of life will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2150 Avocet Drive in Idaho Falls.
