Paula Christine Standley

Paula Christine Standley, 53, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 15, 2022, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. She ran into the arms of her parents and left behind the trials of her earthly life. Paula was born January 30, 1969, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Keith LeRoy Standley and Jaculyn Ann Cleveland Standley. Paula was born with cerebral palsy and an amazing spirit. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended school at the Child Development Center and North Bonneville Jr High where she learned life skills, sign language and baking.

In 1981, Paula moved to a group home in Boise, Idaho, before moving back home in 1988, where she lived with Idaho Falls Group Homes and Grand Teton Service Group. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed puppies, listening to music, looking through the JC Penney catalog, being outside, spending time with family and looking in the mirror to fix her hair and see her pretty eyes. She loved having her head rubbed and eating cupcakes and cookies.

Paula had the best laugh, a beautiful smile and her eyes shone like the sun. She was filled with a Heavenly light and it radiated to everyone she met. Paula is survived by her siblings, Joe (Penny) Standley of Idaho Falls, Debbie (Darren) Haller of Idaho Falls, Taunya (Brett) Ferguson of Idaho Falls, Shala (Mark) Ball of Ammon, and Micah Standley of Idaho Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Jaculyn Standley, grandparents, Roland & Nelda Cleveland and Joseph & Lillie Standley; and nephews, Brandon Seehusen and Liam Wasden.

Heartfelt thanks to IFGH and GTHS staff, care providers and nurses, all of her amazing nurses and doctors at Idaho Falls Community Hospital and to Solace Hospice for the special care, attention and love they all shared with our very sweet sister. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
