Paul Frederick Thoma III

Paul Frederick Thoma III, 86, of Ammon, passed away August 19, 2026, at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia.

Paul was born May 14, 1940, in Lombard, Illinois, to Paul Frederick Thoma and Eleanor Bahr Thoma. He grew up and attended schools in Lombard, Illinois, and graduated from high school in North Highland, Illinois. He also attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, where he met his future wife, Melinda.

On June 14, 1964, he married Melinda Wentworth in Gilroy, California. Paul and Melinda made their home in Gilroy where Paul worked as a teacher and administrator for Morgan Hill Unified School District.

Paul enjoyed baseball and fishing.

Paul is survived by his wife, Melinda Thoma of Ammon, ID; son, Paul Frederick "Rick" (Christy) Thoma IV of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Matthew C. (Sandi) Thoma of Vacaville, CA; daughter, Megan J. (London) Osborne of Morgan Hill, CA; brother, Terry Thoma of TN; sister, Marsha Ross of Naperville, IL; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doug Thoma.
