LYNN R. HANSEN IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Lynn Rockwood Hansen, 73, of Idaho Falls, died November 15, 2005, at Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 29, 1932, in Shelley, to Cecil Hansen and Florence Rockwood Hansen. He grew up in the Idaho Falls area and graduated from Idaho Falls High School where he lettered in track and basketball. He married Sheryl Squires and they had four children. They later divorced. He married Lucy Thomas and they were later divorced. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years. He also drove a school bus for 15 years. He was a member of the Iona Mounted Posse for over 15 years. He was an outrider for the Bonneville Chariot Association and also worked as a steward for the Track at Sandy Downs. Through the years he helped on cattle drives for his Uncle Bruce and many others. Lynn had a life long love of horses. He is survived by: Son, Jeffrey L. (JoAnn) Hansen, of Nampa; Daughter, Jennifer (Keith) Eickelmanof Glenwood Springs, CO; Son, Jody (Nancy) Hansen of Idaho Falls; Daughter, Jacqueline (Rick) Hansen of Tucson, AZ; Sister, Kathleen Hansen of Idaho Falls; And his special friend, Joyce many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2005, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge). The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1810 Moran, Idaho Falls, Idaho. ___________________________________________________________ Condolences sent: Dave Clapp (dclapp1421@aol.com) I am so sorry for your loss and our loss of a very dear friend. Please remember your dad was loved by alot of people and will be missed by all. I'll always remember the best times out at the racetrack with him. He was a great teacher as well as friend.
