PAUL LITTENEKER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Paul Edwin Litteneker, 78, passed away early September 6, 2009, at home surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. Hospice services were provided by Aspen Home Health & Hospice.
Paul was born February 17, 1931, in Sheridan, Wyoming, to Edwin and Dorothy Mathieu Litteneker. He served as a Navy radioman between 1948 and 1950.
Paul Married Ada Fay Guinn on May 14, 1951. She preceded him in death in 1981. He was a graduate of University of Idaho College of Engineering. He married Janice Bisbee Girton on July 23, 1983. He was employed as a nuclear engineer, retiring as a Department of Energy project manager. He served as a deacon and elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Idaho Falls. Paul and Jan traveled extensively since his retirement, enjoying every continent.
Paul is survived by his wife of 26 years, Janice; his children, Ed (Debbie Jo), Randy (Rebecca), Cathy (Randy) Dixon, Jeff (Lori) Girton and Cindy (Jim) Schweitzer; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be a 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Fielding Memorial Cemetery. Gifts in Paul’s name may be made to the Idaho Falls Community Food Bank, 245 N. Placer Ave., Idaho Falls, ID 83402; and Tautphaus Park Zoo, P.O. Box 50220, Idaho Falls, ID 83405.
