Paul Jeffery Kotter, 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 13, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Paul was born August 1, 1956, in Brigham City, Utah, to Jay W. Kotter and Norma Jean Ross. He grew up and attended schools in Brigham City, Utah, and graduated from Box Elder High School. He also attended Snow College, Ricks College, graduating from BYU-Idaho as a registered nurse.
On December 14, 1979, he married Cathy Sue Sargent in Salt Lake City, Utah. To this union were born two daughters, Nicolette and Jenniffer. Paul and Cathy made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Paul worked as a Registered Nurse for EIRMC.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed camping, gardening, mountain climbing, welding, reading, cooking, home craftsmanship, music, church history, and spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cathy Kotter of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Nicolette Kotter (Andrew) Kimmel of Boise, ID; daughter, Jenniffer (Jake Jones) Kotter of Orem, UT; mother, Norma Jean Willie Ross of Brigham City, UT; father, Jay Kotter of Brigham City, UT; brothers, Wayne, Valden, Alan, and Kelly (Amanda) Kotter; and granddaughters, Annastasia, Genevieve, and Virginia.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the Iona LDS Stake Center, 7555 North 55th East, with Bishop Derek Van Orden of the Lincoln 8th Ward officiating. Friends and family are welcome to arrive by 10:30 a.m., if they wish to view a slide show featuring Paul, prior to the services.
