Paul Johnson

Paul Arthur Johnson, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 16, 2016, at his home. Paul was born March 26, 1947, in Butte, Montana, to Benny A. Johnson and Elizabeth Husted Johnson. Paul was raised on the family ranch in the Big Hole Valley, where he attended school in Jackson, Montana and graduated from Beaverhead County High School in Dillon, Montana. As an adult he acquired his own place on the original family homestead. Paul served his country in the National Guard. On July 18, 1970, Paul married Cherilee Crase Johnson in Butte, Montana. To this union were born two children, Susan and Philip "Dean." Paul and Cheri retired to Idaho Falls, to be near their children and grandchildren. Paul enjoyed making home improvements, but what gave him the most pleasure was spending time with his family. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cherilee Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Susan E. Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Joe (Sue) Johnson of Jackson, MT; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Philip Dean Johnson.
