Click Here To View Paul's Funeral Service Live Click Here To View Memorial Video Paul David Freund, age 48, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away May 31, 2015. Paul was born at Sacred Heart Hospital in Idaho Falls on December 8, 1966, to George A. and Mary H. Freund. He attended Longfellow Elementary, O.E. Bell and Claire E. Gale Junior High Schools, and Idaho Falls High School, graduating in 1985. He attended University of Idaho and graduated in 1990 with a degree in Human Resources Management. Paul lived most of his life in Idaho Falls. He worked as a self-employed subcontractor in the retail display field for sixteen years, traveling extensively all over the United States. In 2006, Paul suffered a stroke. After much rehab and care, he landed in Kimberly, Idaho, in assisted living. We were fortunate to have Paul with us for another nine years. Paul coached and played softball for many years. His first job as a teenager was scorekeeping for the City of Idaho Falls Women's Softball League. Survivors include his five siblings, Ruth Pierce of Twin Falls, ID, John (Ree) Freund of Albuquerque, NM, Anne (Terry) Ross of Hudson, WI, Jane Freund of Boise, ID, and Tom (Kaily) Freund of Medford, OR, and six nephews and nieces, Scott, Jake, Logan, Lynze, Sam and Erica. He will missed by numerous relatives, friends, and colleagues because of his compassion, generosity and willingness to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, George A. and Mary Hansen Freund. Paul's family would like to especially thank his good friend, Al Rast, and Elaine Todd & her staff at Alpine Manor. In lieu of flowers, Paul's family requests donations to the Alois and Marie Goldmann Scholarship Fund through Idaho Community Foundation, 210 W. State Street, Boise, ID 83702. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls. Visitation with family will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fielding Memorial Cemetery immediately following.
