Paul Thomas Forgit, 60, of Ammon, passed away on November 15, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born December 7, 1956, in Hollywood, California to Francis Russell Forgit and Marie Susan Potenza Forgit. He spent his childhood in Massachusetts where he attended elementary school. He attended high school in Massachusetts and then moved to California where he finished high school. On September 27, 1998, he married Maria Louisa Wheeler in Milford, Massachusetts. He worked as a service advisor for BMW, Lexus, and Ford. He also worked as an auto damage appraiser. Paul was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as an Elder’s Quorum President, Teacher in the High Priest Group, and as a Ward Clerk. He loved the missionaries and enjoyed taking care of them. He was also a Mason and served as master of Dalhousie Lodge in Newtonville, Massachusetts from 1998 to 1999. Paul was a kind and generous man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed cars, guns, hunting, fishing, and just loved life. He especially loved his family and spending time with them. Paul is survived by his wife, Maria Forgit of Ammon, ID; son, Nicholas Forgit of Pueblo, CO; daughter, Amanda Forgit of Ashland, MA; daughter, Heather (Jose Cela Caguana) Milford, MA; mother, Marie Forgit of Franklin, MA; sister, Susan (Mike) Burke of Riverside, CA; sister, Karen (James) Miller of Milford, MA; 6 grandchildren, 4 nephews, and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Joshua. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the LDS Church at 2150 Avocet Drive in Ammon.
