Carter family, I am so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. His kind loving heart and soft gentle spirit will be greatly missed. I pray you find comfort in knowing he was loved and respected by everyone who had the pleasure of coming in contact with him. I can honestly say Paul touched my life even in the little interaction I had with him. I had the honor of being his Sysco salesman for about three years in the early 90’s. I purposefully scheduled Babe’s last in my day so I could spend more time with Paul. He was much more than a customer, and in many ways more than a friend, always willing to give me fatherly advice. I also enjoyed being there as Paul mediated and playfully started some “lively conversations” with Edith, Jeff and the wide assortment of regular customers who came to Babes for so much more than food. We all came to be with a great friend.
Respectfully, Dave Murphy
