Paul E. Campbell - 08/10/2002 Paul E. Campbell - 08/10/2002 PAUL E. CAMPBELL IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Paul Eugene Campbell, 79, of Idaho Falls, ID, died August 9, 2002, at the Idaho Falls Care Center. He was born April 23, 1923 in Creal Springs, Illinois to John Raymond Campbell and Delphia Ann Deaton Campbell. He attended schools in Creal Springs. Paul lived in Idaho Falls from 1943 until moving to southern California in 1965, where he remained until early this year. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II as a Gunners Mate 3rd Class in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. He married Hattie Irene Rose in Creal Springs, Illinois on March 30, 1943. They were later divorced. Until the time of his death, he had a loving relationship with Delores “Dee” Van Hoose of Bellflower, California. He worked as an independent truck owner and driver until retirement. He also owned and operated Paul's Feed and Seed in Idaho Falls for approximately 10 years, and had worked for Clyde Hess' Grain Elevator for 7 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a non-denominational Christian. He enjoyed collecting and working on old cars and antiques, fishing and hunting. Surviving are:Son: Danny E. (Monte) Waters, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Cynthia Gayle “CMSSGT”(Ken) Brown, Prattville, , ALDaughter: Paula Rae Hitchcock, Calabassas, CABrother: Thomas (Martha) Campbell, Jonesboro, ILSister: Betty (Pete) Perez, Chicago, ILSister: Bonnie (Walter) Absher, Indianapolis, INSister: Georgie Murphy, Harrisburg, ILSister: Catherine (Darrell) Sauerbrunn, Jonesboro, IL7 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a brother, Forest, and sisters, Dorothy and Ruby. Graveside Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at the Ammon Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
