Click Here To View Memorial Video Patsy Colleen Goodwin, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 26, 2015, at Fairwinds-Sand Creek Retirement Community. She was under the care of her loving family and OneSource Home Health and Hospice. Patsy was born May 9, 1935, in Naches, WA, to Allen W. Murphy and Thela C. Thompson Murphy. She grew up and attended schools in Port Orchard, WA and Bremerton, WA. Her family later moved to Meridian, ID, where Patsy graduated from high school. On July 2, 1954, she married Harland Dale "Sam" Goodwin in Meridian, ID. To this union were born two children, Craig and Sheri. Patsy and Sam made their home in Idaho Falls, ID. She worked for Mountain Bell, General Electric, Bowl-Ero Lanes and at Slusser Wholesale as a bookkeeper. Sam passed away on May 2, 2015. Patsy enjoyed poetry, bowling and golfing. Patsy is survived by her daughter, Sheri (Kent Spencer) Thompson of Ammon, ID, son, Craig (Kim) Goodwin of Buffalo, MN, sister, Ramona (Larry) Turner of Boise, ID, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harland "Sam" Goodwin, her parents, Allen and Thela Murphy and two brothers, Thomas Murphy and Gerald Murphy. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
