IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Patricia Jean Mills Westergard, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 16, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from a sudden heart attack.
She was born January 24, 1942 in Idaho Falls to William Howard Mills and Ruby Elva Emerick Mills. She attended Lincoln Elementary School, and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1960. After high school, she attended Links Business School in Boise.
On August 18, 1962, Jean married James C. Westergard III, the love of her life, at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Together they raised three children: Janie, David and Lynett. She was a life long resident of Idaho Falls.
From 1980 to 2002, she owned and operated Sassy Seconds Boutique, a popular consignment boutique near downtown Idaho Falls. From 1997 - 2002 she also ran Overtime Sports.
Jean was an excellent business woman that contributed a lot to the community through her store. She also enjoyed shopping, home decorating, playing the piano, singing, reading, making flower arrangements, knitting, gardening, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed by us all.

Daughter: Janie (Glen Lozito) Westergard, Gilbert AZ
Daughter: Lynett (Chris Gibson) Westergard, Pocatello, ID
Sister: Margaret Ilene Mills, Great Falls, MT
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harry Lewis Mills, and her son, David William Westergard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm Street, Idaho Falls, with Reverend Dr. Dennis Falasco officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services also at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family wishes for friends to join them after the funeral at the Sandpiper Restaurant, 750 Lindsay Blvd., Idaho Falls, to celebrate Jean’s life. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 270 S. Orchard Suite B, Boise, Idaho 83705.
