Patricia Sharp Persons, 69, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 29, 2017, at her home under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. Pat was born September 22, 1947, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and was daughter to John Marlon Sharp and Margaret Rasmussen Sharp. She grew up and attended school in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1965. She started a small business, Mountain States Industries, which she and her business partner successfully ran until shortly before her death. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a faithful visiting teacher and especially loved her callings that allowed her to serve the children in her congregation. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters and loved spending time with her six grandchildren. She enjoyed home decorating, reading, quilts and other hand work. She was a talented painter and thoroughly enjoyed cooking. Pat was a talented gardener and loved landscaping and beautifying her yard. She enjoyed traveling to her daughter’s family in various cities including Boston, Columbus, Seattle and Alpine, Utah. In 1998, she took a once-in-a-lifetime trip to visit her daughter and son-in-law in Switzerland, and to tour Austria, Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland. She had a love of animals, and especially enjoyed her pets, including two poodles, which were her close companions. Pat is survived by her daughter, Michelle Hall of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Pulsipher of Alpine, UT; sister, Callie (Alan) Avondet of Idaho Falls, ID; and six grandchildren (3 girls/3 boys). She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Sharp. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 6, 2017, at South Point LDS Ward, 1291 West 6500 South, with Bishop Scott Cross officiating. A viewing will take place from 10:00-10:45 am offering family and friends a time to visit prior to the services at the Church. Burial will be at the Field Memorial Cemetery.
