Click Here To View Memorial Video Patricia Jean Nicholas, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 23, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. She was under the care of her family and Solace Hospice. Patricia was born September 21, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Ray “Bud” Messenger and Madeline Ball Messenger. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1958. She also attended Idaho State University. On April 2, 1959, she married Paul H. “Happy” Lemons at Idaho Falls. They made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and they were later divorced. She married Jack Arnold Nicholas July 3, 1969, at Idaho Falls and they made their home in Anacortes, Washington. They were later divorced. Patricia returned to Idaho Falls in 1975, where she has lived ever since. Patricia was a professional waitress who took extreme pride in her work and her children. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, dancing, cooking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful woman who instilled strong family values and a hard work ethic in her children. She was known to adopt many ‘stray’ children and animals. She leaves behind her three four-legged babies, Oliver, Jackson, and Angel. Patricia is survived by her four daughters, Karmen (Dennis) Wetherell, Francene Jamison, Madeline N. (Jeremy) Jennings, and Jodi Nicholas, all of Idaho Falls, ID; two sons, Jamie (Tandy) Lemons and David Nicholas, both of Idaho Falls, ID, two brothers, Arlin (Mary) Messenger and Jack Messenger, and a sister, JoLee (Lynn) Thorngren, all of Idaho Falls, ID. 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud Messenger and Madeline Butler, a son, Jack Arnold Nicholas Jr, both her ex-husbands, Happy Lemons (December 10, 2001), and Jack Arnold Nicholas Sr. (January 25, 1993), her stepfather, Wendell Butler, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Messenger, and her lifelong best friend, Barbara Reynolds. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Thursday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
