PATRICIA MOORE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Patricia M. Moore, 79, died September 5, 2006, at her home in Idaho Falls, where she had lived for many years and raised her family.
She was born January 8, 1927, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and was the daughter of Evalyn Kinghorn Brooks and Richard N. Brooks. She lived and attended school in Billings, Montana and Casper, Wyoming, before returning to Idaho Falls. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School, later to become Central Junior High School, in 1944. She served on the Reunion Committee for the 50th anniversary of her class.
She married Ross Wesley Moore January 4, 1947, in Dillon, Montana. Ross and Pat lived in Ririe, Idaho, for a time and then moved to Idaho Falls, where they made their permanent home. They had two sons. Dan Ross, the older son and a Marine, who lost his life in Vietnam on October 17, 1968. Jeffrey currently lives in the San Francisco area and works in the pharmaceutical industry. Ross passed away in 1999.
Pat worked for many years at the Bon Marché in Idaho Falls in various capacities, including bookkeeper and credit manager. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and travel. She and her family spent many enjoyable times together camping and fishing in the area.
She loved animals and cared for many stray and injured creatures of all descriptions. Hobo spiders were a notable exception to her otherwise compassionate nature. She was a strong and principled person and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Jeff. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jack Cuthbert, her husband Ross, and son, Danny.
A private service will be held and she will be buried in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1810 Moran, Idaho Falls, ID 83401; or to the Goodfellow Fund, c/o of the Post Register.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center and Hospice of Eastern Idaho for their professionalism, care and support.

Dear Jeff,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's death. I remember her as being very friendly and cordial. She never tried to dig in the schoolboy antics that always pre-occupied us.
My mother still remembers going to school with your mother. She also had very fond memories. Funny how their sons would grow up to be close friends, in spite of our geographic distances.
Most sincerely,
Paul
