Patricia Mckinney

Patricia Alice Thompson McKinney, 83, passed away September 20, 2018, at her home in Brewer, Maine. She was born June 25, 1935 in Blacks Harbor, New Brunswick, Canada, to Ora Thompson and Irma Valena Ingalls Thompson. She married Gordon H McKinney, DDS, on December 30, 1954. They made their home in Montreal Quebec Canada where they welcomed three boys. They came to the United States in 1965 and settled in Dover, Massachusetts, where they raised their family. Patricia worked in her husband’s dental office and later at Hugh’s Oil Co. Patricia was an avid knitter, creating many wonderful treasures. She loved the ocean, lighthouses and hunting for sea glass. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon H McKinney and her son, Gordon McKinney Jr. She is survived by her sons, David and Holly McKinney of Brewer, ME, and Hugh and Jeanette McKinney of Idaho Falls, ID. She had eight grandchildren, Fulton McKinney, Ethan McKinney, Wade McKinney, Cassandra Key, Rosalie Mattice, Rick McKinney, Marissa McKinney, and Jack McKinney. She had seven great grandchildren, Asher, Abbott, Acen, Paislee, Daylee, Brody, Royce, and one on the way.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Ammon Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to services at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon.
