Patricia (Pantoja) Garcia

Patricia Garcia, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 9, 2024, at her son’s home surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born August 1, 1935, in Wyola, Montana, to Jose Pedro Faustino Pantoja and Sariyiana Aguilera Pantoja. She grew up and attended schools in Lodge Grass, Montana, and graduated from High School there.

She met Pedro “Pete” Garcia in the second grade. They married on March 30, 1957, after he returned from the service. Patricia and Pete made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Patricia worked in the Benefits Department for INEL at the Willow Creek Building.

She was a devoted Catholic. She enjoyed gardening, reading, word searches, and time spent with family, especially with her grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids.

Patricia is survived by her son, LeRoy Garcia of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Marie Aranda of Portland, OR; sister, Juanita  (Refugio) Gutierrez of Billings, MT; many grandchildren, several  great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Pedro Garcia, Jr.; son, William Garcia; son, Eddie Garcia; son, Paul Garcia; daughter, Mickie Garcia; 8 brothers and 1 sister.

A special thanks to Aspen Home Health and Hospice for their great care of Patricia in her last days.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. after the Rosary.
