Patricia Louise (Black) Wilkinson

Patricia Louise Black Wilkinson passed away on March 18, 2022, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Patricia was born March 30, 1946 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to William "Bill" Black and Lorraine Womack Black. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Fall High School.

She met and married Jeffrey Dale and to this union was born Michael Steven Dale. They were later divorced. She married Gerald Wilkinson and later divorced.

She attended Idaho State University and graduated with her nursing degree. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, Parkview, and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Later in her life, she worked at several retirement homes in Idaho Falls, Salmon, and Lewiston. She made many lifetime friends there, and cherished those friendships.

When you think of Pat, you first think of her love for the outdoors and animals. She enjoyed spending time in Bone, riding horses and ranching. She loved talking about those special times.  Her love for animals took her to the animal shelter to see how she could help. She would drive miles to help those animals be adopted. She loved to sew and would make jammies for her nieces and nephews. She loved to collect cups from all over the US. Whenever family and friends would travel, they would bring her cups. It made her feel like she had gone as well.

She loved her rich heritage and family roots in Eagle Rock (Idaho Falls). Her grandparents were Claud Black and Margaretta Keefer. She was the first grandchild and had a very special relationship with Grandma Keefer Black.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Marci) Dale; grandchildren, Teashia (Curtis) Roberts, Taylor (Clay) Yancey, and Tazmyn Pedersen (Anthony Serna); eight great grandchildren; sister Terri (Bill) Fohrenck; brother, Greg (Robin) Black; and sister-in-law, Kay Black. She is proceeded in death by her parents, and brother William Claud Black.

The memorial services are pending. Wood Funeral Home is handling the details for the family.
