Parker James Duke, 14, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 3, 2015, at his grandparents’ home.
Parker was born February 3, 2001, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Ron Duke and Kimberly Copeland. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and attended Compass Academy as a freshman.
He was a member of the Four Square Church. He enjoyed karate, skate boarding, video games, outdoors, 4-wheeling, tubing, hunting, and playing in water.
Parker is survived by
mother, Kim Copeland of Idaho Falls, ID;
step-father, Michael Sparks of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother, Kenneth Duke of Tennessee;
brother, Colton Justus Copeland of Idaho Falls, ID.
sister, Crystal Lee Duke of Utah;
grandmother, Leonora Duke of Idaho Falls, ID;
grandfather, Doak Copeland of Boise, ID;
grandmother, Karen Chapman of Idaho;
uncle, Greg Duke of Idaho Falls, ID;
Aunt Beccy McQuary and Uncle Jon McQuary and their 5 children, Parker’s cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Duke, and grandfather, Rex L. Duke.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2015 at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Friday prior to the services. Burial will be in the New Sweden Cemetery, 5760 South 55th West, Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
