Pamela Ruth Simar-Thomson, 68, of Star, Idaho, passed away November 27, 2016, at St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center in Meridian, Idaho.
Pamela was born April 30, 1948, in Santa Maria, California, to the late James Simar and Selma Morris Simar. She grew up in Santa Maria and attended Santa Maria High School. Then later, she moved to Fairbanks, Alaska.
In November 1966, Pamela married Ron Roach. They were later divorced. On October 14, 1989, she married Henry Lynn Thomson in Fairbanks, Alaska. Pamela and Lynn continued to live in Fairbanks where Pamela worked with flooring and cabinets in the construction industry at Spenard Builders Supply until she retired. Pamela and Lynn moved to Star, Idaho, in May 2014, where they made their home.
Pamela enjoyed fishing, reading, and traveling. She was active in the sport of curling for 28 years in Fairbanks. She especially loved her family and spending time with her granddaughters and talking with her daughter on a daily basis.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Henry Lynn Thomson of Star, ID; daughter, Athena Mordenti Graves-Gass of Star, ID; daughter, Cynthia Roach of Santa Maria, CA; step-son, Shawn Thomson of Berlin, Germany; step-daughter, Tisha (Erik) Vanderwiel of Eagle, ID; stepson, Trevor J. (Alisha) Thomson of Meridian; grandchildren, Shaneetta (Lucius) Cofey-Anthony, Amaria (Isaac) Rodgers, Yvette Hornbeck, Dayshaunarae Graves-Shaw, Tyler (Sophia) Roach, Haley Cunningham, Che Berg, Andrew Berg, Mitchell Berg, Sena Thomson; great grandchildren, Shane C. Craft Jr., Sincere A. Wilkerson, Melodie A. Hornbeck, Ellijah J. Ruiz, Truly Ruiz, Ahzaria L. Rodgers, Promise Anthony, Harley Roach, Hayes Roach; brother, Chris (Judy) Simar of Caldwell, ID; brother, James Bud Simar of Santa Maria, CA; sister, Diana Simar-Macias of Phoenix, AZ; half-sister Ginger (Tim) Osmus of Middleton, ID; half-sister, Jodi Bullard-Green of Middleton, ID; and a host of cousins, neices, nephews, and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Simar and Selma Morris Simar, her brother, Donny Simar, and two granddaughters, Melodie P. Percy and Antionette J. Stanberry.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2016, at the Taylor Cemetery.
