Pamela Hewit

Pamela Jean Hewit, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 15, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Pamela was born July 22, 1947, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Merrill Carlyle Elswood and Rhea Irene Pack Elswood. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley, Idaho, and graduated from Shelley High School. On January 22, 1971, she married Kenneth LaGrande Hewit in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Pam and Ken, along with their son, Jeff, made their home in Idaho Falls, where Pam worked for Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership for over 20 years. She loved camping, fishing, good food, and spending time with family and friends. Pamela is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Kenneth Hewit of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jeffery (Dana) Hewit of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Rhea Irene Elswood of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Paul (Gloria) Elswood of Shelley, ID; sister, Patty (Ross) Moore of Idaho Falls, ID. She was preceded in death by her father, Merrill Carlyle Elswood, and her brother, Perry Elswood. A gathering will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue.
