Pamela Sue Hansen, 67, of Iona, passed away April 2, 2026, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
Pam was born October 17, 1958, in Anaconda, Montana, to George William Smith, Sr. and Shirley Bell Smith. She grew up and attended schools in Portland, Oregon, and Anaconda where she graduated from high school.
On December 21, 1976, she married Allen Wade Hansen, Sr. in Shelley, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on February 14, 1978. Pam and Allen made their home in Iona, Idaho, where they raised their family.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Nursery leader, Sunday School teacher, Camp Director, Primary teacher, and service committee member. She shared her testimony of the gospel every chance she had through her words and actions. She enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking, tole painting, planning holidays for her family, and family get-togethers. Being surrounded by her family was her greatest treasure.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Audrey (Jared) Smith of Idaho Falls; daughter, Sabrina (Tyson) Walker, Sr. of Ammon, ID; son, Allen (Sarah) Hansen, Jr. of Rigby, ID; son, Adam Hansen of Roberts, ID; son-in-law, David Alvarez of Rigby, ID; brother, George (Pam) Smith, Jr. of Logan, UT; sister, Linda (Robert) Stancliffe of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Dianna (Jeff) Blackburn of Idaho Falls; brother, Harold (Terrie) Smith of McKinleyville, CA; 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen Hansen, Sr.; and daughter, Shaleen Alvarez.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Wilford Cemetery, 2550 East 225 North. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
