Owen Butler Wallace, 82, of Idaho Falls, died April 17, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. 

He was born June 29, 1919 in Ammon to Benjamin Butler Wallace and Olive Owen Wallace. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Ricks College. He served in the Army 92nd Signal Battalion during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. 

Upon returning home, he started his own traveling motion picture company. He married Angela L. Bunker on March 20, 1976 in Idaho Falls. He owned Wallace Dairy and worked in the dairy industry his whole life. He was a charter member of the Fallsmen Singing Group.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a hard worker and enjoyed singing, gardening, camping and especially being with his family.

Surviving are: Wife: Angela Wallace, Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Dorothy Wallace, Logan , UT; Son: Michael Wallace, Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Paul (Shay) Wallace, Sacramento, CA; Daughter: Brenda (John) Summers, Ririe, ID; Daughter: Angie (Joe) Gaeta, Plano, TX; Daughter: Lori Hunt, ID; Son: Rick (LaRue) Bunker, Rigby, ID; Daughter: Kathy Bennett, Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Kevin (Valerie) Wallace, Las Vegas, NV; Son: Larry (Wendy) Wallace, Idaho Falls, ID; Brother: Lew Wallace, San Gabriel, CA; Brother: Volney Wallace, Salt Lake City, UT; Brother: Ivan Wallace, Rigby, ID; Brother: Orval Wallace, Idaho Falls, ID; Brother: Uriel Wallace, Idaho Falls, ID; Sister: Dorothy (Eldon) Walker, West Valley, UT; 29 Grandchildren 

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS Sunnyside 1st Ward, 3721 Shadow Mountain, with Bishop Karl Decker officiating. The family will meet with friends on Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
