Oscar Saldaña Rodriguez

Oscar Saldaña Rodriguez, 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 5, 2023, at Tambree Meadows Assisted Living Center. He was under the care of Solace Hospice and his loving family.

Oscar was born and raised in Agua Prieta Senora, Mexico, to Irene Rodriguez on May 10, 1950. In the spring of 2000, he married Roberta Saldaña in Idaho Falls. Oscar and Roberta made their home in Idaho Falls, where Oscar worked in the potato warehouse for over 20 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed writing poems for his wife, working on his cars, and doing yard work. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Oscar is survived by his wife, Roberta Saldaña of Idaho Falls; stepchildren, Juan (Lorena) Pineda of Greeley, CO, Alejandro (Carol) Pineda of Basalt, ID, Salvador Pineda of Greeley, CO, Angel (Reyna) Pineda of Tennessee, Zenaida ( Alejandro) Zamora Liberato of Mexico, Rafaela (Felipe) Cuellar of Idaho Falls ID, Maria (Jose Guadalupe) Pineda of Idaho Falls ID, Romo (Minerva) Pineda Liberato of Idaho Falls ID, Alvero (Leticia) Pineda of Idaho Falls ID, Alferdo (Marci) Pineda of Idaho Falls, ID, Karla Pineda Idaho Falls, ID, Jose (Arrena) Pineda of Idaho Falls, ID; 60 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and family members in Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents and many family members in Mexico.

A Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023. A gathering will follow from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. both at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
