Orval Wallace, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 25, 2013, at his home. He was under the care of his family and Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Orval was born May 8, 1924, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Benjamin Butler Wallace and Rosa Olive Owen Wallace. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He was born, raised, lived and died in his family home, nearly 89 years.
Orval proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II in the Philippines.
On December 5, 1951, he married Eva Moser in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were parents of nine children, Dennis, Glen, Rose, Jean, Eileen, Richard, LeAnn, Shirley, and Rebecca. Orval partnered with his brother and operated Wallace Dairy until his retirement. His beloved wife Eva passed away May 9, 2001.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Orval served in various capacities over the years. In his youth he served full time in the Western Canada Mission and served several stake and church service missions throughout his life. Orval loved fishing – oh, did we mention he LOVED fishing!? He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and serving in the Humanitarian Center.

Brother, Uriel (Dolores) Wallace of Idaho Falls, ID;
Sister, Dorothy (Eldon) Walker of Salt Lake City, UT;
27 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Eva, a daughter, Jean Infanger, two sons-in-law, Thom Hahn and Jon McKenzie, a granddaughter, Star Hahn Peterson, a grandson, David Wallace, and two brothers, Lew and Owen Wallace.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS Summerfield Ward, 3721 Shadow Mountain Trail, with Jonathan Maughan, First Counselor in the Bishopric, officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery.
