ORSON DAVID HARDING IDAHO FALLS, ID - Orson David Harding, 74, of Idaho Falls, Idaho died February 19, 2004, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on the Lewisville Highway. He was born December 8, 1929, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Vernon Harding and Agnes Mary Johnson Harding. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. He served in the U. S. Army earning the rank of Sergeant from 1948 to 1952. He married Barbara Mae Moore September 19, 1952, in Idaho Falls. He worked as a Firefighter and paramedic at the AEC and INEEL Site for 23 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for many years with the Boy Scouts. He was a flintnapper and belonged to the Fort Henry Buckskinners and, with them, enjoyed attending Mountain Man Rendezvous. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, rock hunting and spending time at his cabin in Palisades. Surviving are: Wife: Barbara Harding, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Marianne (Randy) Young, Shelley, ID Son: David Lynn (Karen) Harding, Idaho Falls, ID 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson in 1975. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2004, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grant-Central Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
