Orson Clark

Orson W. Clark, 95, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away July 24, 2013, at Lincoln Court Retirement Community in Idaho Falls, of natural causes. Orson was born April 13, 1918 in Ogden, Utah, to Amasa R. Clark and Hortense Wadman Clark. He graduated from Ogden High School. After graduation, Orson served his country in the Unites States Army during World War II. He obtained the rank of Technician 5th Grade with the 665th Field Artillery Battalion. He was discharged at Fort Douglas, Utah, in 1946. He lived in Ogden for the first twenty-three years of his life. Orson married Faye Potter in 1941 at Phoenix, Arizona. They had two children together, Janet and Roland. She passed away in 1983. Orson worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for a short time but most of his career was spent as a car body and paint man. He married Mildred A. “Jonesy” Thomas on February 14, 1984, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He and Jonesy spent the past few years of their lives together at Lincoln Court Retirement Community. Jonsey passed away there on April 21, 2012. Orson was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and square dancing. Orson is survived by Son, Orson Roland (Marva) Clark of Idaho Falls; 5 grandchildren, Curtis, Bryan, Susan, Shannon, and FayeAnn, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, daughter Janet Susan Clark, three brothers, and two sisters. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Annis Little Butte Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Bonneville County Veterans Group and the Idaho Honor Guard. Burial will be in Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
