ORPHA CLEGG
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Orpha Luella Cropus Clegg, 92, of Ucon, died September 17, 2007, at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living.
She was born May 12, 1915, in Ririe, to Ferdinand Cropus and Harriet Jensen Cropus. She grew up and attended schools in Clark and Rigby.
On December 22, 1931, she married Ray O. Clegg in Ucon, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 11, 2003. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a clerk a few summers for Smith & Chandler at West Yellowstone, Montana.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Primary Teacher and Visiting Teacher. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo at the Senior Citizens Center, and crocheting. She especially loved her family and spending time with them.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Wanda C. (Larry) Sayer, North Logan, UT
Daughter: Beverly D. (Skip) Cline, Idaho Falls, ID
3 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Dorsel R. Clegg, four infant sons, three sisters, and a brother.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with Bishop Tim Orchard of the Idaho Falls LDS Yellowstone Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
