OREN COVERT
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Oren Covert, 95, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 12, 2006 at The Gables Assisted Living Center of causes incident to age. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice.
He was born May 17, 1911, in Ammon, Idaho, to Spencer Covert and Lottie Jane Walker Covert. He grew up and attended schools in Ammon.
He married Golda Fern Quinton November 10, 1937, in Rigby, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized July 10, 1963, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He spent his early years farming and working on a threshing crew. After their marriage he worked for A. A. Merrill Farms and was Water Master in Osgood. He and Golda ran Hersley Dairy for two years. He then worked for Beatrice Foods until his retirement. Golda passed away August 7, 1998.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various capacities over the years, including a stake temple mission. He enjoyed fishing.

Son: Oren J. Covert, Hollister, ID
Son: A. Raymond (Marcia) Covert, San Jose, CA
15 Grandchildren & 18 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters, four brothers, and a daughter-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS 11th Ward, 1235 Juniper, with Bishop Mark Paulsen officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon, and Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials donations to the Lori Olsen-Marks Foundation for Hospice Care, 3470 Washington Parkway, Idaho Falls, ID 83404
