Norroena E. Powell - 12/20/2001 Norroena E. Powell - 12/20/2001 NORROENA E. POWELL IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Norroena Ellen Powell, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 20, 2001, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born March 21, 1921, at Coffeyville, Kansas, to J. Earl and Bertha (Carter) Wood. She graduated from the Coffeyville public schools and in 1940 graduated from Coffeyville Community College. Upon graduation, she was employed by the Prudential Insurance Company. On July 18, 1943, she married Alva J. Powell. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship, Chapter DR of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and the Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Alva, of Idaho Falls, a daughter, Lorenda Faler, of Idaho Falls, and a grandson, Brad Faler, of Idaho Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eugene. Graveside Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2001, at Fielding Memorial Park, with the Reverend Dr. Dennis Falasco of First Presbyterian Church officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 10 to 10:40 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
