Weblog Entry - 02/02/2002: "Norman Lee Coates" 02/02/2002 Entry: "Norman Lee Coates" NORMAN L. COATES IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Norman L. Coates, 71, of Idaho Falls, died January 29, 2002, at his home, of natural causes. Dad was born on Christmas Day, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clyde Coates, Sr. and Fannie Ferris Coates. He grew up in Salt Lake City and went to West High School. He married Betty Stott in Salt Lake City. They had four beautiful daughters, Kim, Kyle, Karla and Kristie. They were later divorced. He worked at Calron Electric for a few years, where he was a great salesman. After moving to Idaho Falls he worked for ECSCO for many years. In Idaho he married Jeanne Friedrich and they had another daughter, Shanon. They were later divorced. He also lived in Boise, Pocatello, Blackfoot, and Salt Lake City. He loved people, enjoyed telling a good joke, and especially loved his five daughters. Friends are invited to visit with the family and share a moment of remembrance on Tuesday, February 5, 2002, at 6 p.m. at the home of Larry & Judy Jensen, 13786 North 95 East, Idaho Falls. Funeral Services will be held in Salt Lake City at a later date under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
