Norman LeRoy Cahoon, 83, of Ammon, passed away December 24, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Norman was born August 15, 1941, in Deseret, Utah, to Elmer LeRoy Cahoon and Josephine Ingrid Stephensen Cahoon. He grew up and attended schools in Delta, Utah, and graduated from Delta High School.
After high school, Norman married Susan Bushman and they had three children. Susan and Norman were divorced. He later married Johnnie Thrasher who had one child previously and together they had a child. They were later divorced. Norman’s profession was Lithographer.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Norman was an artist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was very creative and loved old cars.
Norman is survived by his son, Norman (Lori) Cahoon of St. Anthony, ID; daughter, Natalie (Dean) Riddle of Salem, ID; son, Roger (Barb) Cahoon of Roy, UT; daughter, Sarah (James) Smith of Iona, ID; sister, Evelyn Handley of Idaho Falls, ID; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Cahoon; parents; and daughter, Michelle Rich.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Boulder Creek Ward Building, 4375 E. Sunnyside Road, with Bishop Greg Hoche officiating. Family and close friends can visit from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Deseret Cemetery at later date.
