Norman Belnap - 08/14/2002 Norman Belnap - 08/14/2002 NORMAN BELNAP IDAHO FALLS, ID: Norman Belnap, 79, of Shelley, died August 13, 2002, at his home. He was born November 18, 1922 at Alexander, Idaho to Reuben Augustus Belnap and Ella Catherine Messick Belnap. He grew up in the area, attending Basalt Elementary, and graduating from Firth High School. He later attended Brigham Young University. He served as a Private First Class in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Helen Berniece Hogan on December 24, 1947 in Idaho Falls. He worked for Norton Fruit as a warehouse manager, salesman, and truck driver. He was a member of the Eagles. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His hobbies included bowling, softball, watching sports on TV, and he was especially proud of his yard and garden. Surviving are:Wife: Berniece Belnap, Shelley, IDSon: Robert (Joan) Belnap, Aloha, ORSon: Reed (LaRae) Belnap, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Ralph Tweet (Louise) Belnap, Elizabeth, COSon: Randal (Sheryl) Belnap, Bastrop, TXDaughter: Rita (Kurt) Jensen, Bowie, MDDaughter: Roxanna Esther Rawls, San Bernardino, CADaughter: Rosalie Ellen Powel, Tigard, ORSister: Kizziah Tracy, Shelley, IDSister: Darlena (Max) Fullmer, Caldwell, IDSister: Zina Drewes, Sacramento, CA 19 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Monday, August 19, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, with Bishop Robert Drollinger of the Shelley LDS Mountain View Ward officiating. The family will meet with friends on Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
