Norman Blake Ballard, 60, of Rigby, passed away January 26, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society, Idaho Falls Village. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Norm was born May 22, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Rex Ballard and Bulah Bradshaw Ballard. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. On August 1, 1981, he married Cynthia Lin Byram in Idaho Falls. Norm had two kids, Sonny and Jakki, from a previous marriage. He and Cyndi raised their two children, Jammie and Johnathan. They made their home in Rigby, Idaho, where Norm worked as a truck driver for Snake River Truss. Cyndi passed away December 10, 2013. He enjoyed camping, jeeping, old westerns, spending time with family and friends, sharing barbeques in the backyard, and sharing trucking stories. Norman is survived by Son, Sonny Blaine Ballard of Rigby, ID; Daughter, Jammie (Jared) Avery of Preston, ID, Daughter, Jakki Lynn Taylor of Rigby, ID; Son, Johnathan (Amanda) Ballard of Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, MO, Sister, Sheila (Larry) Thatcher of Shelley, ID, Sister, Velva (Kent) Misseldine of Idaho Falls, ID. 7 grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers, Gary and Robert. Graveside Services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
