Norma Warren

Norma Lee Warren, 92, of Ammon, passed away May 17, 2018, at The Gables of Ammon Assisted Living Center. She was under the care of Encompass Home Health and Hospice, along with her loving daughter, Delores. Norma was born September 8, 1925, in Willow, Oklahoma, to Thomas Perry Lane and Iva Bell Cox Lane. Norma continued to spend her childhood and attend school up to the 9th grade in Oklahoma where she acquired hard working skills. Later as an adult, she continued her adventure to California as a dedicated loving mother and homemaker of three children, Gary, Delores, and Michael. On October 30, 1988, she married Donald Lawrence Warren in Reno, Nevada, where they happily lived for the next 22 years. Norma was a classy woman and a member of the Assembly of God Church. With her passion for music, she sang beautiful songs with her sisters and children while playing the guitar. She had an infectious smile and witty sense of humor with an admirable talent for gardening and sewing. Norma is survived by her son, Gary Don Warren of Ammon, ID; daughter, Delores Jean Burke with husband Terry Burke of Ammon, ID; son, Michael Joe Dunn of Ammon, ID; brother, Larry Lane of Palm Desert, CA; 18 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren (remembering her giving us a piece of gum after every meal). She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Perry Lane and Iva Bell Lane; husband, Donald Lawrence Warren; brother, R.T. Lane; sisters, Doris Sasser, Bobbie Jean Lane, and Wilma Jo Loven; and brother, John Wesley Lane. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Terry Burke officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
