Norma Peterson

She was born October 10, 1924, in Ucon, Idaho, to Levi Bennett Jensen and Sarah Mary Henrickson Jensen. She grew up and attended schools in Ucon, graduating from Ucon High School.

On November 2, 1946, she married Lenard Martin Peterson in Dillon, Montana. To this union were born four children: Sheree, Terry, Peree "Pete", and Larry. Norma and Lenard made their home in Idaho Falls, where Norma was a mother and homemaker. She also worked as a waitress for Plum Loco, formerly MiCasa, in Idaho Falls until the age of 87. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Norma is survived by son, Larry Wayne (Gene Loraine) Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Sheree Ann (Reid Thomas) Sono of Gresham, OR; daughter, Terry Lee (Daniel "Danny" Francis ) Clift of West Valley City, UT; son, Peree "Pete" Roger (Amy S.) Peterson of Cave Junction, OR; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepbrother, Delbert Helphenstine; stepsister, Harriott Helpenstine Allen; and halfsister, Shirley Jensen.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) prior to leaving for the cemetery.
