Click Here To View Funeral Services Live Norma Jean Garner, 80, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Norma was born May 19, 1933, in Weston, ID, to Albert Lorenzo Schwartz and Melva Schvaneveldt Schwartz. She grew up and attended schools in Mud Lake and graduated from High School in Roberts, Idaho. On June 9, 1951, she married her high school sweet heart, the love of her life, Ronald Leo "Hank" Garner in Terreton, Idaho. To this union were born eight children. Norma and Hank made their home in Roberts and surrounding areas before moving to Idaho Falls, where they have lived since. Hank passed away March 23, 1998. Norma helped her husband on the farm, and was a waitress for 32 years at the Stardust in Idaho Falls. She enjoyed couponing, going to garage sales, quilting, gardening, gambling, making famous hand-dipped chocolates and cooking, but most of all she loved taking care of her family. Norma is survived by her daughter, Ronda (Bart) Bateson of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Dale (Kathy) Garner of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Eddie Garner of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Peggy (Alan) Mondada of Boise, ID; daughter, Lori (Daniel) Seargeant of Huntington Beach, CA; daughter, Judy (Dave) Truempler of Pocatello, ID; son, Dex Covert of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter-in-law, Judy Garner of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Marie (Tony) Staley of Dillon, MT; sister, Bonnie (Lindsay) Hatch of Driggs, ID; sister, Faye (Evan) Morgan of Rigby, ID; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald “Hank” Garner, sons Denny and James Garner, brothers LeGrande and Leon Schwartz, sisters Carol Shenton and Mary Lou Schwartz, and granddaughter Jennifer Garner. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with her nephew, Gary Shenton, officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Tuesday from 10:00 am to 10:45 prior to services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral Services will be held

Tuesday March 11, 2014 , 11 am at Wood Funeral Home

The family will visit with friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Tuesday from 10:00 am to 10:45 prior to services.
