Nolan Stucki

Nolan David Stucki passed away Friday, June 10, 2011, at his home. He was born April 3, 1932 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Adolf and Clara Miskin Stucki. He attended Coltman Elementary, Ucon High School, Idaho Falls High School, Ricks College and Utah State University. In October 1956 he married Marlene Ward in the Idaho Falls Temple. She died in April 1963. In October 1964 he married Ann Miller in the Logan LDS Temple. Nolan served in the US Army from November 1952 to October 1954 and is a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a Welding Engineer and Metallurgist in the aircraft, missile, and nuclear industry. He also worked on the Alaskan oil pipeline. He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, especially in scouting, serving three different times as Scoutmaster. He was a High Priest in the LDS church and served as an ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He and his wife, Ann, served an LDS mission to the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission. Survivors include his wife, Ann Stucki of Idaho Falls, ID; children Kim (Tammy) Stucki of Rotorua, New Zeland; Tonja (Charles) Randall of St. Joseph, Michigan; Dahl (Sharon) Stucki of Idaho Falls, ID; Julie (Alan) Asay of St; George, UT; Sharlyn (Bryan) Johnston of Rigby, ID; Camille (Steven) Boyle of Wickenburg, AZ; Ellen Stucki of Santiago, Chile; four brothers; two sisters; 26 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and his brother, Doyle. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Coltman LDS Chapel, 12448 North 5th East. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Ave., and 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Wednesday June 15, 2011 , 11:00 a.m. at Coltman LDS Chapel The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Ave., and 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
