Nola Anne Schafer Lynch, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 25, 2012, at her home of breast cancer. She was under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Nola was born May 8, 1950, in Kempsey, New South Wales, Australia, to Noel Frederick Schafer and Marie Joan Burrows Schafer. She grew up and attended schools in Kempsey. In 1980 she moved to the United States and settled in Boise, where she lived for a year. She worked as a miner at Cypress Thompson Creek Mine in Clayton, Idaho.
She attended Eastern Idaho Technical College and Excelsior College and earned her associates degree in nursing.
On June 6, 1980, she married James Allen Lynch in the San Juan Islands, Washington. They made their home in Challis for 12 years and moved to Idaho Falls 20 years ago. Nola was a registered nurse and worked at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, The Idaho Falls Surgical Center, Dr. Dan Smith, and for Dr. Kevin Mulvey.
Nola was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Boise. She enjoyed four wheeling, camping, fishing, knitting, and horse trail riding.
Nola is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jim,

Daughter, Leesa Cash of Sydney, NSW, Australia;
Parents, Noel and Marie Schafer of Queensland, Australia;
Brother, Cecil Shafer of Ocean Shores, NSW, Australia,
Brother, Warren Schafer of Sydney, NSW, Australia;
Mother-In-Law: Mary Lou Lynch of Boise, ID;
5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Norris Lynch.
Private Family Services will be held.
Burial will be in the St. Michael's Garden Columbarium in Boise.
