Noel G. Brown 73, of Ammon, passed away June 21, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Noel was born September 5, 1938, in Riverside, Idaho, to Robert Douglas Brown and Alberta Gardner Brown. He grew up in Lewistown, Montana, and attended schools in Riverside and Lewistown.
He served in the United States Navy in the School of Music, and later attended the University of Montana and Brigham Young University.
On December 28, 1963, he married Charleen Marie Engstrom in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Together they raised six children in Sugar City, Idaho. Noel was a band director at Ricks College for 17 years, then taught Humanities until his retirement.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Noel served faithfully in numerous callings. He was a member of the Bishopric at Ricks College and in Sugar City.
Noel enjoyed reading, fishing, and watching movies. He loved his family and was always willing to lend a hand.

Son: Steven Noel (Nancy) Brown of Olathe, KS;
Son: Michael Scott (Rhonda) of Ammon, ID;
Son: Jeffrey Warren (Tiffany) Brown of Idaho Falls, ID;
Daughter: Alisa Marie (Barry) Humpherys of 29 Palms, CA;
Daughter: Jennifer Brown of Idaho Falls, Idaho;
20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Warren Brown and Scott Brown.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at the Ammon LDS 9th Ward, 4459 John Adams Parkway, with Bishop Boyd Southwick officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
