Noel "Chupe" Brizzee

Noel Henry "Chupe" Brizzee, 86, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away on January 4, 2024.

Chupe was born December 23, 1937, at the family home in Menan, Idaho, to Henry Willard Brizzee and Esta Elnora Sorensen. His early years were spent growing up in Menan where he attended Menan grade school and graduated from the 8th grade in the spring of 1952. He attended Rigby High School and graduated in 1956.

In 1958, he was called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central Atlantic States Area, with the mission home in Roanoke, Virginia. Upon completion of his mission, he returned home and enrolled at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.

While in the process of completing his education, Chupe began dating Nancy Tibbitts, and they were married August 31, 1961, in Idaho Falls. She passed away in the Spring of 2012. In May of 2015, he married Deanna Gneiting Carter.

After completing his education at Brigham Young University, Chupe began a journey in public education as a teacher, coach, administrator, and counselor, which lasted 35 years. Except for one year in Arizona, and four years as a sales representative with Garrett Freightlines, the rest of his professional career was spent in the Idaho Falls area public schools.

Chupe is survived by his sons, David (Kamal) of Berlin, Germany, Richard of Idaho Falls, and Ben (Ingrid) of Idaho Falls; daughters, Lucille of Ogden, UT and Noelle of Idaho Falls. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Brookelynn, Braeden, Jaren, and Sydney, and one great granddaughter, Mia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; sisters, Ruth, Afton, Athylene, and Betty; brothers, Wayne, John, Ross, and Ronald (Ginzey); and his parents.
