Noe Cortez

Noe Cortez, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 17, 2022, at his home.

Noe was born April 7, 1942, in McAllen, Texas, to Pete M. Cortez and Dolores Hernandez Cortez. He grew up and attended schools in Texas before moving to Idaho Falls at age 17. Noe made his home in Idaho and Washington, where he worked as a fire fighter. He moved back to Idaho Falls three years ago.

He was a Christian. He loved nature and enjoyed fishing, taking road trips, working on cars, taking pictures, hiking, antiques, camping, and having BBQs.

Noe is survived by his son, Rick (MarcieAnn) Cortez of Idaho Falls, ID; daughters, Karina Cortez of Eagle Creek, AK and Veronica (Heriberto) Ibarra of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters, Juanita Cortez of Logan, UT and Ava (Joe) Ybarra of San Antonio, TX; brother, Roy (Carmen) Cortez of Caldwell, ID; 24 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patricia Cortez; and brother, Adam Cortez.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Watersprings Church, 4250 South 25th East.
