Click Here To View Memorial Video Neva Faye Crain Boam, 83, of Grant, passed away June 5, 2015, from complications from surgery. Neva was born August 25,1931, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Charles Crain and Delaine Baird Crain. She grew up in Lincoln, attended elementary school and then graduated from Idaho Falls High School. On September 4,1953, she married Larry J. Boam in Lincoln, Idaho. She was a bookkeeper at the bank and later received a PHT (Putting Hubby Thru) degree from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. After college, they spent three years in the Air Force, living in California, Texas & Florida. They returned in late summer of 1957. Neva & Larry made their home in Grant, Idaho. Neva loved living on the farm, driving truck, herding cattle, being the secretary & bookkeeper. Farming wasn't all, Neva helped Larry succeed in his Pioneer Seed Dealership, serving as office hostess, taking orders and often times selling more seed in a day than Larry. Neva worked with Larry building their home in Grant where she lived for over 60 years. She raised three children, Curtis, Mark, & Sandra, and others that she "mothered" as her own. She worked at the Idaho Department Store, and at the Hallmark store in Idaho Fall, which she enjoyed and made many friends. Neva spent her time caring her mother, sister, Aunt and children. Neva was a wonderful friend, thinking of others and giving service. Neva enjoyed a lunch date, or shopping with friends and granddaughters. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Primary teacher, Relief Society teacher, and was a faithful visiting teacher for over 50 years. Neva enjoyed working in the yard, planting a garden and grew beautiful roses. Neva loved music opera, reading and, seamstress and decorating. Neva looked forward to her and Larry's adventures flying in his experimental airplane for breakfast or to see their daughter, trips to see family and friends, drives, seeing the country side on a Sunday afternoon. Neva's greatest joy was her family, she looked forward to family gatherings. She rejoiced in her family and friends accomplishments and made it a point to be with them to celebrate. Neva is survived by her loving husband of nearly 62 years, Larry Boam of Grant, ID; son, Curtis James (Patty) Boam of Ashton, ID, son, Mark Boam of Grant, ID, daughter, Sandra Kay Sharp of Brigham City, UT, special niece, Debbie (Britt) Hougen of MT. 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Francis Crain, and a sister, Karol Eagle, and her aunt Ruby Landon. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, both at Wood East Side. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.

11:00 a.m. ,Thursday, June 11, 2015 Wood Funeral Home East Side 963 South Ammon Road Idaho Falls, ID, Bonneville 83406 Notes: The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, both at Wood East Side. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
