NELLIE J. FISHER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Nellie Jeanette Sinclair Fisher, 94, of Idaho Falls, recently living with her daughter in Cedar City, Utah, died September 16, 2001, at her daughter's home in Cedar City.
She was born August 14, 1907, at Victor, the sixth of twelve daughters born to Jesse Sinclair and Ellen Pitts Sinclair. She grew and attended schools in Victor.
She married John Floyd Fisher May 6, 1926, in Driggs. their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on June 6, 1937. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where she was a homemaker and mother. She also worked as a clerk in the J. C. Penney Store in downtown Idaho Falls for over 20 years, and as a clerk in the King's Variety Store on 17th Street. She worked for Mercell's Store in Jackson, Wyoming and at a drugstore in Billings, Montana, while her husband worked on building various highways across Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various positions. She loved to sing in the choir and sang at many funeral services and programs. She loved to make handmade quilts for her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are:Daughter: Iris [Len] Chapple, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Rita [Terril] Phippen, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Rhea [William] Hatch, Cedar City, UTSister: Lenore Bowen, Boise, IDSister: Faye Christensen, Idaho Falls, ID 14 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Marie Winder, and a Great Grandson, Shawn Haws.
Graveside Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2001, at Fielding Memorial Park, with her son-in-law, Terry L. Phippen, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
