Neldon Grant Potter, 91, of Ammon, passed away December 8, 2016, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family and Hands of Hope Hospice. Neldon was born March 5, 1925, in Wilford, Idaho, to Fred Potter and Glida Greenhalgh Potter. He grew up and attended schools in St. Anthony and graduated from South Fremont High School. He served in World War II in the United States Navy. On July 4, 1943, he married Helen Louise Worrell in Rexburg, Idaho. They had four children, Nancy Irene, Kathy Susanne, Paula Faye and Steven Ross. Neldon and Helen made their home in Goshen, Idaho, where Neldon farmed for many years and retired from the INL. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed peace and quiet. Neldon passed away one day after his loving wife of 73 years, Helen Worrell Potter. Neldon is survived by his daughter, Nancy I. Potter of Ammon, ID; daughter, Kathy Potter of Ammon, ID; daughter, Paula (Lee) Wright of Mt. Pleasant, UT; son, Steven Ross (Rebecca) Potter of Greeley, CO; brother, Theron Ray (Gail) Potter of Spokane, WA; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Glida Potter; wife, Helen Worrell Potter; brothers, Blaine and Boyd Potter; and sister, Marie Simons. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Wilford Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Fremont County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
