Nelda Rue Miller, 86, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away July 12, 2016, at Monticello Assisted Living. She was under the care of Solace Hospice and her loving family.
Nelda was born August 7, 1929, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Joseph Lloyd Hodges and Ada Nessen Hodges. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.
On April 1, 1986, she married Delbert DeLoy Miller in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union were five children, DeLyle, Jack, Tim, Allen and Janet. Nelda and DeLoy made their home in Salmon, Idaho, where Nelda worked at the 28 Club. DeLoy passed away on May 4, 1991.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Nelda enjoyed knitting and ceramics.
Nelda is survived by her son, DeLyle (Cindy) Paulsen of Charlo, MT, son, Tim Miller of ID, son, Allen (Juanita) Miller of Rexburg, ID, son, Jack (Nova) Miller of Coeur d'alene, ID, brother, Kay (Maureen) Hodges of Preston, ID, brother, Joe (Ireta) Hodges of Boise, ID, brother, Roger Hodges of Idaho Falls, ID, sister, JoAnn (Edward) Parsons of Senora, CA, sister, Margaret (Robert) Hay of Billings, MT, sister, Janice Harkness of Woodland, WA, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Janet Paulsen, husband, Delbert DeLoy Miller, brothers, Glen Hodges and Jim Hodges.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior. Burial will be in the Annis Little-Butte Cemetery.
